The latest edition of Extra News, Chicago's leading bilingual newspaper, features an article on Roosevelt MFA candidate, Cecilia Villarruel. Villarruel volunteered for the Peace Corps from 2006 to 2008. She was stationed in Nambia and taught English to the ninth grade. “One of the Peace Corps slogans is ‘this is the toughest job you’ll ever love’ and they’re right. It is difficult, but the end result is great,” Villarruel said. Today, she writes about her experiences and seeks ways "to offer her assistance in the future."
