Current MFA candidate Patrick Garret's reach as a writer extends far beyond his genre-focus of poetry. Patrick is also a regular contributor to The Roosevelt Torch, school's weekly newspaper. Thus far, Patrick has written extensively about on campus events (including a recent article about fiction teacher Kyle Beachy becoming a permanent addition the Creative Writing department), as well as both film and book reviews. Eventually he hopes to write long-form articles concerning social and economic inequality. You can read all of Patrick's contributions here.
